Book 1

Marie Elaina Gordon was born in Philadelphia, PA and resides in Doylestown, PA with her husband, mother and 2 sons. She is a Systems consultant and tells friends, "I work with computers to feed my family and write to feed my soul." A near death experience in 1986 "awakened" a creative talent in Marie Elaina and suddenly she found herself writing inspirational Poetry, she was encouraged to continue in her writing. One day, while enjoying an afternoon with her mother discussing old expressions, Marie Elaina realized this was a great subject for a children's book; thus was born:

"MY GRAND-MOM TOLD ME..."

"MY GRAND-MOM TOLD ME..." is the first book in a collection of short stories that will appeal to children of all ages from 4 to 104! The story opens with a narrative by the adult child, Jeremy, reminiscing what life was like when he visited his grand-mother while his parents worked. The conversations are simple but educational as well. Grand-Mom teaches her grand-son, "Little Sprout", as she affectionately calls him, expressions and jobs during her life, new vocabulary, and simply how great it is to share their life together!
